Maria’s Bench

This is a piece I created in 2025.  I had been asked by my wife to make an outdoor bench for a special location in our yard.  Our neighbors had a number of eastern red cedar slabs that I could use for the seat.  I used a chainsaw and grinders to mold and shape the slabs into a 7′ bench.  All voids were filled with black epoxy.  The frame and back are welded still, painted with automotive paint to minimize corrosion.  There are roughly 100 hours of labor in this piece.  It is not for sale.
