Changing Perspectives is an abstract welded piece in aluminum. It is 2 feet tall and is intended to be a maquette for a much larger version of the same piece. The finished piece will be 8 to 10 feet tall in either aluminum or steel. This piece represents familiar conversations between two people who are not accepting each other’s opinions. This is becoming more and more common recently and our government leaders show us some of the worst examples. To get to a more meaningful and productive discussion each person has to take a step back and try to understand the other person’s perspective. This is the first step in being able to have a conversation where we may disagree but we can do so with dignity and respect while also gaining some value from an opinion with which we may not be in agreement.
